A Portuguese village elder lived as part of a village in northern Portugal at the time when the extraterrestrial object later designated SCP-002 crashed from orbit in that area. A farmer from the village stumbled upon the crater created by the impact and reported his findings to the elder. A collection team of security personnel from the SCP Foundation arrived to secure the crater soon afterwards, and under the orders of their leader General Mulhausen, began using members of the village to carry out initial testing on the object. After three villagers failed to return after separately entering SCP-002, Mulhausen issued a Level 4a Termination Order to his men, who executed all of the local villagers aware of the SCP including the elder and roughly a third of the rest of the village.[1]
